Season 3 Comes To A Close

In just a short time Mystifyed Live has gone from a relatively unknown Podcast to being enjoyed by thousands of listeners. The monumental third season has come to a close. Throughout the last few months we have had so many incredible guests and have seen the show undergo some major changes.

Our incredible line-up of guests have included some of the brightest minds in the entertainment business. Magicians, Paul Vigil, Murray SawChuck, Mike Hammer and Irving Quant provided us with very unique views into the world of magic. Sprinkled in between the magic we got to hear the musical side of things thanks to guests like Singer/Songwriters Sean O'Shea, Evan Haymond and Shastina Eloff. It was because of those guests and many others that we were able to make Mystifyed Live bigger and better than before.

In addition, to all of the amazing talent we saw throughout the season, there were several breakthroughs that contributed to the development of Mystifyed Live. One of the biggest was our release on iTunes. People now have the ability to download any episode from Season 3 (and beyond) for free! This very blog was redesigned to give readers an inside look at the entertainment business. It also features episode recaps and updates about some of our past guests. In our efforts to reach an even bigger audience, we made the switch from Livestream to BlogTalkRadio. These changes provided us with the tools we needed to create a higher caliber show.

We are looking to keep things moving as we transition into Season 4. Visit our official website to find everything you need to keep up with us. Check out our social media links, visit our iTunes page and tune in LIVE every Sunday night at 8pm EST / 5pm PST. Sit back, relax and enjoy the ride as we head into Season 4!

Street Performer, Jacob Jax
At only 22 years old, Street Performer Jacob Jax has already performed over 3,000 shows on the Las Vegas Strip. He draws his influences from more than just other magicians. He has been inspired by musical artists such as The Jacksons, as well as performers on the Worlds Greatest Magic television specials. He gained a multitude of his experience thanks to some help from his friend, Comedy Writer and Juggler, Michael Goudeau. Love In Entertainment

When it comes to the entertainment business, some couples have unique approaches to their relationships. Several of our past guests have told us how they have adapted to being together on and off stage. With today being Valentines Day, we wanted to give you a behind the scenes look at some of these guests.

When we hung out with our first guest of 2013, Magician, Aaron Radatz he told us what made his relationship with his wife, Tina, so special. For a long time people thought that they performed together when in fact, Tina makes a living as a dog groomer. What made things work between them was the fact that they were able to always share something new with each other.  Aaron was able to learn things about her job that he never knew and Tina was able to learn things about magic that she never knew. It became a great way for  Aaron to step away from the stage and talk about something other than magic.

Another couple we had on the show was cruise ship magicians, Kyle and Mistie Knight. These two have been performing together for over ten years. You can see just how connected they are by the way they interact. Mistie said during our interview that once the show starts, work comes first and their personal relationship comes second. Part of what makes them so compatible is their ability to separate their personal lives from their professional personas. Because Kyle's real name is Tyler they often joke that once they are off stage, Tyler can then spend some time with Mistie.

We all wish you a very Happy Valentines Day! If you would like to check out our interviews with Aaron Radatz and Kyle Knight and Mistie, you can do so by downloading them for free by clicking on the iTunes logo below.

Mystifyed Live! Episode 23-- Christopher Hart

Season 3, Episode 23

Magician, Christopher Hart
Magician, Christopher Hart, has spent a majority of his life entertaining audiences throughout the world. At the age of 16 he was accepted into the prestigious Jr. Program at the world famous Magic Castle in Hollywood. The Magic Castle has become the premiere magic club for magicians from all over the world. His award winning magic has also been featured in commercials for several major companies including: McDonalds, RCA and Honda. In addition, to being an accomplished magician he has also had several acting roles. He played the disembodied hand known as "Thing" in the well known Addams Family series. He joins us this week on Mystifyed Live to talk about his history in magic and film.

Christopher uses his past experiences to develop his own  philosophies on magic, such as The Addams Family series and working alongside David Copperfield. He believes that the art of magic is very technical and relates a performance to that of a live special effect. He advises that you should have the following three things when creating magic or any art form: a good balance of passion, the willingness to change direction and seek help from others. By taking more risks and not being afraid to fail, you will become a better performer and learn more about yourself.

We want to send a big thank you out to Christopher for being on the show this week. His views on magic are something that any performer can learn from. If you would like to find out more about Christopher Hart visit his official IMDB and Facebook pages. To hear the full interview, please download the episode by clicking on the iTunes logo below!

Teenage BlogTalk Radio Host Goes Pro!

We are excited to announce that Josie Passantino is launching her own officially licensed radio station! This hard working teenager has hosted many of her own radio shows. She has made guest appearances on Mystifyed Live as co-host during our interviews with Amanda Ply and Celeste Kellogg. Our host, Justin The Mystifyer, has even appeared in on The Josie Show, twice. As Josie prepares to turn 18, she achieves her dream by launching her own professional radio station.
Radio Host, Josie Passsntino

At age 14, Josie began developing her own blog talk radio show, The Josie Show. Her humble origins included broadcasting her first few episodes out of her bathroom, for acoustic quality. The Josie Show quickly became successful having received several award nominations. Josie has became a member of the Country Music Association or CMA. Over the last few years she has interviewed over 300 guests from relatively unknown artists to Disney Stars and Grammy winning artists.

The success of The Josie Show led to catching the attention of The Southern Star Network, the #1 internet visual radio network in the world!. Their CEO was so impressed with her that he asked her to be the guest co-host on several of their popular radio shows. Things went so well, that after a while she became the permanent host of her own show Josie's Hard Country, which ran from 2011 until 2012.

Two radio shows were not enough for Josie as she went on to created a spin-off called The Josie Show-Special Edition. This show now airs twice a month on the 1st and 3rd Mondays. They kicked off the show in December of 2012 with Country Legend Aaron Tippin. As Josie's ambitions continue to grow from far beyond radio shows.

This Saturday, February 9th, Josie launches her radio station Josie's Country Blast Radio. It will showcase today's hottest country music artists. Broadcasting 24/7 she will have guest DJ's, interviews and of course calls from fans around the world. Her radio station will continue to promote up-coming musicians just as her previous shows have done. Her hard work and dedication has really paid off. A big congratulations goes out to Josie and everyone in her production crew as they taste the reward of not giving up on their dreams.

Mystifyed Live! Episode 22-- Justin Flom

Season 3, Episode 22

Magician, Justin Flom
Magician, Justin Flom, was born into the fast paced world of entertainment. While growing up in Minneapolis Minnesota, he practiced magic while being surrounded by a family full of performers. By the age of 18 he found himself headlining his own show in Branson, Missouri. He combines his loves of traveling and magic by taking road trips with nothing but his motorcycle and a deck of cards. Each place he stops becomes a unique opportunity to share his magic with people all over the country. He has also gone viral online thanks to an incredible video entitled 'A Soldier Deck of Cards', which combines a heartfelt story with mind blowing magic. Most recently he made an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to showcase his incredible talents. He joins us this week on Mystifyed Live to talk about his career and what's in store for him next.

Thanks to the advancements in technology of the last several years Justin has been able to make quite a name for himself with the help of platforms like YouTube. It has allowed to share his magic with millions of people around the world. Some of his inspiration for creating and performing has come from his father, an amateur conjurer in his own right. Justin believes that there are three types of magic: 1) Magic that has happened. This can be something that the audience doesn't see, such as a prediction. The work is done prior to the people arriving and they only see the end result. 2) Magic that is happening. This is something the spectators can see throughout the performance, such as something floating in mid air. 3) Magic that happens. This is something instant that takes place at a moments notice, like one card changing into another. In addition to his views on performing, he also stresses the importance of making sure you define who you are as person. Once you can do that, try to figure out ways to use elements of your personality and make that part of your magic. Not only will it help make your performances stronger, it will give the spectators something to remember you by.
